I came here with my family for my aunt's birthday. For appetizers, we tried the meatballs, calamari, and clam chowder. My cousins loved the calamari and I loved the meatballs - very filling with a great, rich sauce. I didn't love the bread they provided with the dish but I used the starter bread basket to soak up more delicious sauce. My aunts felt as if the chowder was missing something - maybe pepper /spice? I tried the short rib gnocchi with a side of asparagus. It was very rich and filling! I ended up taking home most of the dish home as leftovers. One of my cousins had the lobster ravioli - she say it tastes very good but the portion size was small. My other cousin has a steak and the seafood pasta - he enjoyed both! My nephew ate the entire swordfish with risotto and left no crumbs behind! Our sever was very kind but when we needed her, it felt as if she was no where to be found. Maybe the other side of the restaurant was busy. Street parking is very difficult to find but there's a nearby relatively cheap parking garage - $1 per hour. I don't come out to Quincy often but I'd be willing to come back to Alba for a special occasion!

Leo's "Alba Restaurant" on Hancock Street in Quincy has us driving the two hours from Connecticut for an overnight stay at the Quincy Marriott to enjoy the extensive and perfectly prepared meals at the Alba! Located in a former bank building, everything from the pork chops, steaks and seafood are sublimely prepared under Leo's direction. Outrageous!

There was an AMAZING NIGHT AT ALBA FOR CITY OF QUINCY 400 Celebration! From 6 to 9 and beyond the festivities were on fire! The Invited guests made this event here truly remarkable and Alba DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The guests were treated with a banquet table of Sushi, Salads, Fish, chicken Wings, Ribs and Pasta along with live entertainment!! The Bartenders all worked very hard and fast for cranking out the Best Cocktails and the open bar for a time was a huge hit! Lots of important honored guests like the Honorable Mayor THOMAS P KOCH, and some Quincy City Councilmen such as JAMES DEVINE Ward 4, NOEL DiBONA and RICHARD C ASH - WARD 2, were spotted chatting and greeting guests with conversations and photo Opts! They all seemed to work the jam packed room! The TV MONITORS PLAYED QUINCYS UPCOMING EVENTS AND HISTORIC AREAS OF THIS GREAT CITY! I was thrilled to meet and chat with many of the invited quests and made some new friends! This Event presented by SANTANDER made this Grand Event a huge Success! To approach and chat with so many movers and shakers of Quincy's Future was and is so uplifting ! Alba played a major roll for this evening! Want to shout out to Councilman RICHARD ASH for keeping me and others in the loop of all of City of Quincy's Events now and in the future to help not only his Ward 2 Residents but all of City of Quincy's Residents! THANK YOU!

The new addition is amazing the roof is so nice and the food is delicious highly recommend perfect spot summer time .

The food was amazing but the drinks are little too strong for me . The atmosphere and staff were very nice. I would definitely come back here again.

What a gem to have in Quincy! This is probably the most upscale place in town. The food is "Boston-quality" without the hassle of going into the city... I came here for dinner with my husband and my in-laws. We started with sushi rolls and shrimp cocktail, both of which were HUGE. They also tasted fresh and delicious! For my entree, I ordered the filet mignon (medium-rare). It came out cooked perfectly, tender as can be and very flavorful. I love that it came with caramelized onions on the side. The mashed potatoes and spinach we got for the table were good/average, but not as impressive as the steak. For dessert, the four of us shared the "cake for two" which really should be called "cake for a small army" as the portion size was GIGANTIC (but I'm not complaining)! This chocolate cake was ooey-gooey soft as can be, rich in flavor but still a light & fluffy texture. I'm usually not even a cake person but I ATE ALMOST THREE SLICES of this cake, it was that good!! I can't decide if I liked the cake or the steak better as both were amazing. Definitely give this place a try :)

We came for a girls night on a Friday and we were seated right away in the dining room. We ordered the local oysters, braised short rib gnocchi, macaroni and cheese (side) and crispy brussel sprouts (side). I also got the Winter in Italy. Oysters came in 6 and they were fresh. The short rib gnocchi was very good, rich, filling and I would recommend it. The brussel sprouts were delicious and definitely crispy which I liked. The macaroni and cheese was good but it didn't stand out. Drinks were also good. My friend got the espresso martini and it was great. Service was good but our waiter wasn't very personable and cold. The dining room is quite formal. They offer $8 valet parking and there is a nearby garage that is $1/hr ($12 max). They have a dining room, lounge and rooftop patio (not covered).
